An early desktop build from TenTwo Labs. Start with synthetic data or copies of your research files.
What you can try
- Open the first-run walkthrough and execute Python cells with the bundled local engine.
- Open, edit, save and reopen a notebook. Inspect live Python variables.
- Import tables, explore available local analysis tools, and inspect selections and their row identities.
- Export selected-cell metadata and work with datasets directly in notebook code.
What is still limited
This beta targets Windows 64-bit and Macs with Apple Silicon. The Mac build is an unsigned test build and does not update itself. Subscription AI, paid activation and remote compute are not connected. Some controls remain marked Pro, including figure export, saved clusters and subset-export dialogs. Notebook code and the available metadata export can still be used to inspect and save data.
Pretrained CellTypist weights are not bundled with this beta. Optional models, reference lookups and add-on packages can require a separate download and internet connection. The software is for research testing; it is not validated for clinical or diagnostic use.
Install and update
Windows x64 only. The current download is about 394 MiB and the unpacked application occupies about 1.6 GiB, before your projects, optional packages or models. Leave additional room for the installer, temporary files and update copies. An ARM Windows computer is not a qualified target for the Windows download; Macs with Apple Silicon use the Mac beta.
Automated packaged checks have run on a Windows 10 x64 development computer with 32 GiB RAM. Clean Windows 11 testing and minimum-memory/dataset-size qualification are still in progress; these observations are not minimum system requirements. Start with the small built-in walkthrough before trying your own data.
Check the homepage for the exact version, file size, signing status and SHA-256 checksum. An unsigned test installer can produce a Windows reputation warning. If your organization requires signed software, wait for the signed release.
The beta installs separately from the stable app and uses its own settings profile. Keep backups of any notebooks you edit. Beta updates are downloaded manually from the same tester page; automatic updates are disabled.
- Download the Windows installer from the tester page and compare its SHA-256 with the linked release record. In PowerShell, use
Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 -LiteralPath "path-to-downloaded-installer.exe". - Run the installer and open EleuScope Beta. A separate Python installation is not required for the bundled local tools.
- For account access, create and verify your email at the account page, then use Settings → Account → Sign in / Create account in the app.
- Before a manual update, save notebooks and close the app. Install the newer beta, reopen it and confirm the version in Settings. Keep the previous installer and a separate copy of your notebooks.
Mac with Apple Silicon
The Mac beta runs on Macs with Apple Silicon (M1 or newer); Intel Macs are not supported. Until Apple notarization is in place it is an unsigned test build, so macOS blocks it until you clear its download flag once. Mac updates are also downloaded manually from the tester page.
- Download the Mac beta from the tester page. To compare its SHA-256 with the linked release record, run
shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/EleuScope-Beta-*-arm64.dmgin Terminal. - Open the downloaded
.dmgand drag EleuScope Beta into Applications. - In Terminal, run
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/EleuScope Beta.app". Without this step macOS says the app "is damaged and can't be opened"; it is not damaged, only unsigned. - Open EleuScope Beta from Applications. The first start can take a minute while its built-in Python environment prepares. If macOS still refuses, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway.
- When you first save an AI key or sign in, macOS may ask whether EleuScope Beta may use “EleuScope Beta Safe Storage” in your keychain. Choose Always Allow; that is where the app keeps your keys encrypted.
Known issues and recovery
If the browser does not reopen EleuScope after sign-in, use the one-use code shown on the account page. An expired code needs a fresh sign-in attempt. If you lose access to the website account, use password recovery; local notebooks remain on your computer.
If data or a selection looks wrong, stop editing that project, save a separate copy and check row or cell IDs before exporting. Include a small synthetic example and reviewed diagnostics with your report. Reinstalling does not reset your beta profile; do not delete it as a troubleshooting step without a backup.
A useful first test
- Complete the built-in walkthrough and run its Python cells.
- Open a small table or notebook, inspect the values, and save a copy.
- Close and reopen the app and your saved notebook.
- For a dataset with a UMAP, select cells, inspect their IDs, and export their metadata. Check that the exported rows match the selection.
Your files stay under your control.
Notebooks and core analysis run on your computer. This website has no research-upload form, analytics script or advertising tracker. It stores your website skin preference in your browser. Cloudflare serves the website and download infrastructure and processes ordinary network-request information.
Internet-dependent tools may contact the reference or package service you request. In beta.3 and later, verified testers can connect their own AI provider keys; prompts and selected analysis context go to that provider, which bills your usage. Do not use identifiable patient data for early testing. Diagnostic exports and screenshots may contain analysis details; review them before sharing.
Your beta signup
If you join the beta list, TenTwo Labs LLC, operating as Telestara Bio, stores your email address, optional name, signup time, website source, beta version and email choices in Cloudflare D1. We use these records to organize testing and contact you about beta access. Product updates and launch news are a separate, optional choice.
Signing up does not verify ownership of your email, create a login, start a subscription or authorize a charge. Automated invitation emails are not enabled yet. We do not collect payment details through this form or sell the signup list.
We retain the record while you participate in the beta or have chosen to receive updates. To withdraw email consent or correct your name, create and verify an account with the same email address, then update your preferences. To request deletion, email jlawrence@tentwolabs.com. The signup form itself does not store your IP address.
Your website account
Google, GitHub and Apple sign-in are being prepared. When available, these options share your basic profile and email address with EleuScope; they do not grant access to your repositories, documents or research data. We store the provider identity and authentication records needed to recognize you when you return. Access and refresh tokens are encrypted. Optional marketing emails remain off unless you choose them. A provider’s verified email can link your existing beta signup, but connecting two login methods requires signing in first and using the same verified email. Apple’s Hide My Email uses a separate relay address.
You can create an account with an email address, name and password. We send transactional verification and password recovery emails from accounts@auth.telestarabio.com. This address is automated and replies are not monitored. Verify your email before signing in. An account links to existing beta signup records only after that email is verified.
Cloudflare D1 stores your account, a password hash, verification and session records, your email choices, and a history of preference and administrative changes. Secure, HttpOnly cookies keep you signed in. Session records may include IP address and browser information for security; temporary abuse counters use hashed keys. Authenticator secrets and recovery codes are protected by the authentication service. Account security emails are separate from optional beta and product updates.
Your account page lets you update your name and email choices, download your account information as JSON, change your password, set up an authenticator and sign out of all devices. Authorized administration requires a verified owner identity and two-factor authentication; the administrator can inspect and export user records. We do not sell this information. Creating a website account does not unlock paid desktop features or authorize a charge. Paid checkout remains disabled while plans are being prepared.
Optional usage sharing from the desktop app
Newer EleuScope beta builds include a Share usage events setting in Settings > Testing. It is off by default. If you turn it on, the app sends events recorded from that moment to telestarabio.com so TenTwo Labs LLC, operating as Telestara Bio, can see which features beta testers use, where they get stuck and which errors occur.
Shared events are limited to a fixed list: event types such as an analysis completing, screen, panel and command names, durations, the AI provider, model and token counts you used, error categories, the app version, channel and operating system. They never include your data or files, file names or paths, gene or cell values, notebook code, AI prompts or answers, account details or API keys. The app identifies itself with a random install ID created on your computer and, if you enter one, a tester code we gave you; it does not send your name or email address.
Shared events are stored in Cloudflare D1 and deleted after 180 days. The administrator can see totals and per-install activity for these anonymous installs. You can turn sharing off at any time, and Delete shared data in the same settings removes everything your install has shared. The website does not store your IP address with these events. Cloudflare processes ordinary network-request information when the app connects.
Accounts and connected beta builds
In beta.3 and later, open Settings → Account to sign in with your website account. Finish email verification and any authenticator challenge in your browser, then choose Connect EleuScope. If the app does not reopen, paste the one-use code into Account settings. Manage or revoke desktop sessions at your account page.
The app stores its sign-in credentials using your operating system's protected storage. The account service records the connected desktop session and its expiry so you can revoke it. Sign-in does not upload or synchronize your research files.
Verified beta testers can use their own AI API keys in Settings → AI & data. Your provider bills this usage. Account access is checked online; local projects remain available when disconnected. Company-funded AI credits and paid subscriptions are not included in this beta.
Unsigned beta builds use manual website downloads. Automatic installation will become available with signed releases. The update controls check for new versions, show download progress, and ask you to save your work and finish running analyses before restarting. Existing testers need one manual upgrade to the first signed updater-enabled release.
